Default What would cause sporadic starting?

Car always turns over, just sometimes does not start. It's getting fuel but no spark. Sometimes when messing with relays, it will start. Last time it started was after I removed the coil to check it. The coil was within spec. Currently it won't start no matter what i do. Is there a test procedure for the reference sensors? what else besides the reference sensors, relays, or control unit would cause no spark? thanks.

if the reference sensors are good, do your rpms move while cranking even if the engine doesn't start? my tach does nothing while cranking. should it move around? oil pressures moving.

I think tach should bouse a little while cranking if reference sensors are good.
