Does a Dead Alternator = Weak/No spark ???
Does the ignition get it's charge from the Battery or from the Alternator?
I am having a weak / no spark issue even with a charged battery and i am assuming a dead alternator. (or a bad ground)
Anythought?

Yes, a bad alt will cause this, but what is really happening is that the car won't turn over with only 12 volts at the battery. It should actually have around 14. The battery will appear charged "enough" but isn't. Have the alt tested. a new voltage reg is about 16 bucks. If you pull the alt you may as well replace the VR, unless it's in really good shape.

I have driven my car after it snapped the alt/ac belt a year ago 45 miles home on battery power, at night. Ran fine, but it was pretty nerve racking getting it home. Pulled about 15 fuses to stop the drain.
