Where did you tap the amps in?

Where did you locate them?

I have two 10's I am getting ready to instal in the hatch as well. Making a custom "box". Bascially turning the spare tire area into an enclosure.

Old bump, but has been a big help.

I have chosen to go with 6.5 Massive Audio CK6 so they were a little deeper, requiring a little more depth, so I went with 1/4 MDF and have added a 5/8 MDF Speaker ring. I modified the outside diameter (and inside) of the circle to accommodate the 6.5 speaker. I will be glad to upload a template of the 6.5 plate. The issue I may run into is the speaker clearance with the lower door pocket at the very front, as a matter of fact I am almost certain I will. I have not measure the actual thickness of the door panel to see if it will give me enough room to play around with and ditch the speaker ring or use one made of 1/4" mdf. Worst case I will have to slightly modify the front portion of the door pocket. The specs on the speakers call for 2 3/4 depth, but actual measurements are a little less.

I will be adding some sound deadening to the outer and inner door panel. I used Massive Audio VK6's in the rears for fill and have a HU with built in 3 way crossover, DSP and time alignment. I have listened to the rears and for the money they are by far the best sounding budget 6.5 components I have ever heard, and the SQ, response and clarity beat many I have heard that cost more than double. I also sound deadened the rear 1/4, outer and inner panel which did make a nice difference. They are powered by a Massive Audio Nx4 amp, and an old school Pioneer DEX-P1R. I may add the Nx5 so I can biamp the fronts and get rid of the external crossover. These amps are TINY and the SQ is amazing. The Nx5 is 130X4 @ 4ohm + 800X1 @ 4ohm. The Nx4 is 100X4 @4ohm or 100X2 @4ohm + 400. It is 10"X5.5X2.1 and the Nx5 is 15"X5.5X2.1 and it also has a subsonic filter on the if using the LPF. Opens up options to run true mid bass off the sub channel. They also have a rack/stack system to take care of getting more than one into small spaces for clean install.

I will be running 1, 10" MTX 4500 series in the rear, either in the spare tire well firing up hidden or a custom enclosure side fire in the right rear corner above the cubby. Photos to follow.

BTW, have a Nakamichi CD400 with a bum cd mechanism, everything else works perfect, some like new 6.5 MBquart Coxial 2 way, and BNIB 5.25 MBquart components, used in good condition old school 3 or 4" 2 way with external passive crossover network QM MBquart, and a pair of Q series MB 5.25 2 ways for sale that have been removed that are up for grabs. Old School MBquart stuff is made in Germany, not sure about newer stuff.
