I met Pat, and saw his car at a local Rennlist GTG at Tom Breen's house. This 951 is spectacular! At the time it still had the original Pirellis on it. Amazing. I recall from speaking with Pat that he seemed a stand-up guy.
Pat--sorry to hear you are selling. Worth every penny, hope you get it.

Dude, if I had the money, I would buy it in a heartbeat, then take all the mods and put them on my car and keep that beauty stock!! Thats is beautiful, though I think the "under 30" statement was a bit off, some of us youngsters appreciate these cars
Also, if you do for some reason decide to sell a couple of those items, let me know about the clear turn signals...

Raven, you're right... There's plenty of "older" folks that sometimes don't appreciate what they have, either. My apologies to anyone I offended.
Ken, I remember that GTG at Tom's house as one of the high points of my ownership. That was one of the coolest times I had with the car. I was amazed at wat some of you guys could do. And then the cops came cruising around, figuring 12 944's on one street could only mean trouble... Thanks for the compliment.
I thought briefly about selling the individual items, but I will leave that up to the new owner to decide.
Meanwhile, here's another "blast from the past"... How many people still have their tiny "valet" key? (As a former valet at a swank country club when I was 16, when I got to take a member's then-brand-new 1983 944 out for a trial. I was smitten after that...)

Well, I watched my baby drive off tonight, in the hands of a worthy owner and his son. As a current 944 NA owner, he has definitely cut his teeth on these cars, and has earned this new kick in the pants. As torn as I am over the sale, I have no regrets selling the car to this owner, and I know him and his son will continue to treat this car like rare sweetheart she is.
I'll let him identify himself if he wishes. Good luck, and see you at Lime Rock this fall!!

Otherwise, I used the hockey puck trick act as a pad between the jack pad and the body...
