The car pictured is most likely the winningest 944 in non-spec series history with SCCA Nationals titles going back as far as 1988 and still going strong. First or second at the GT2 run-offs something like ten different times. As recently as 2005, David Finch battled fender to fender with the brand new Nissan 350Z juggernaut and claimed the national title. There has been some real "rubbing" in this category including, IIRC, a first lap, first turn punting incident between the 944 and the Nissan at the run offs.
Yes, it's an NA, with sidedraft Mikuni's (?) Would be interesting to know the car's "Pre-Finch" history to see if was/is a survivor of the Trans Am/IMSA projects.
