So I have done a hundred searches on offset and still don't know my answer. What is the range of offsets that will work on the back of my 87 951 with an 18x10 wheel? 40-65mm???

I have a 32mm spacer for my 86 making it about 3mm outside your mounting surface. On that I run a 17x10 wheel with a 64mm offset and 265/40 tires. I have a little clearance inside and outside, no rubbing with stock suspension. I'm going to a 275 tire next time and should be fine. I think you would be great with 60-62 mm, maybe a little less if you want the wheel/tire a little closer to the fender. I'm in Marietta, you can come look at it some evening if you want. Good luck.

At 1 degree negative camber, stock ride height, stock torsion bars, a 65mm offset, 10 inch rim, a 285 tire just cleared on my 87 951. If you went down to a 47 you'd be needing to 'adjust' the fender to make it clear.

Depending on ride height, rear camber, and tire size - probably in the range of 50-65mm for an 18x10 wheel. 50 may stick out a little far if you dont have your fender lips rolled, 55 should be good for sure.
