The olivers sound a better bet than the latest Carillos. They are now being made in China and quality control is not what it used to be
Where did you hear this? I spoke with Pete at Andial this week and he said the Carrillos he orders are still made here. Maybe there is some other production rod Carrillo is having China do, even so it would be shocking.
This is from a quote on an original RS spec car. "Extensive development has been done to the car with horsepower reaching 450 HP and torque at 498 @2750 RPM and 1.3 bar boost."
Fascinating project. There have been posts from time to time by German-based 968 Turbo connoisseur, Konstantin K., whom I'm sure you're aware of.
On one occasion I recall him mentioning some specific information he had obtained from the factory regarding the engineering of the 968 Turbo RS that was further proof that during the 911 revival era Porsche aborted further development on the car because it was too good!
