Default mmm Carbon Fiber Strut Bar :)

The newest addition: CF Strut bar. Took some modifying to get it put together, and I still have a little left (on the strut bar mounting bracket, not anything else), but it came out nicely.

(Note, engine bay is a bit of a mess, lol....fixing the battery box, so wires are hanging all over the place).

I'd like one of those but I'd like one I could just throw on without any modifying.

Looks good. Is that a 911 bar with modified KLA mounts from their 944 strut brace?

Bar is evolution motorsports bar. I cant remember if it is a boxster front strut, or a 996 rear strut bar. I had two different bars on hand, the other was much shorter and thicker.

KLA mounts, but they need to have the holes moved outward about an inch or so.

Doc,

Very nice and the contrast against the white IC pipes and intake makes great eye candy. Not as nice as DFASTEST951 avitar but almost...

Beautiful work! And I don't wanna hear any of this "oh my engine bay is so dirty" crap! Your car looks great!

Is there an immediate notice of improved handling with a strut tower brace?

Does the CF have an flex??

Lol, I don't know...still fixing the battery box. Literally put the bar on this morning.

CF won't flex, it should be stronger than metal....or so they say.....

Yeah, but we all know Doc doesn't ever drive his car hard enough to find out if it will flex... lol Heck, he's usually too busy upgrading something on it!

Seriously, is there ANYTHING you haven't rebuilt on that car yet? Its got to be one of the most update 951's in the States as far as maintenance/repairs go.

Regards,

Haha! It's my daily driver! That is when I am not doing something to it, lol.

Unfortunately, fixing a leaking battery box is like watching paint dry. Por-15 sets up in 5-6 hours per coat, so it turns into a week long project.
