I have never dealt with them but it seems when it comes to oem type stuff most people say to go with world upholstery. I don't know if they sell carpet or not.

On a side note I am looking for some black oem style carpet as well.

I removed the padding from mine, it is thin and light with out it. At twenty years old it was not to hard to pull off.

I tried pulling the padding off mine and it wouldnt even budge. It felt like i would rip the carpet before it actually came off

Redid my interior with automotive carpeting from AutoZone. This was a couple years back when I did rear seat delete and sitched from tan interior to black...but its basically the same stuff used to carpet subwoofer boxes. Non-backed and good lord the trash can was heavy after dumping all the padded carpeting and sound deadining in it. I remember them selling rolls for about 12 bucks. Try them or Pep Boys.

I found that the cheap rubber backed black carpet at homedepot matched the stock carpet well. it was cheap too.
