Default Little high amp altenator

I cannot remember what the application is. Can anyone tell me what it is? How many amps does it produce?

Thanks.

Just check Summit or Jegs, they have quite a few to choose form. The smallest 'race' alternator will not support anything more than a real race car.

Chris, unless you know a specific one from Summit or Jegs, most of those need special brackets or pulleys. Most come with a V belt pulley.

I'm not sure if Chris is looking for a "bolt on" or not. Your right though, a 50 amp alternator will not support headlights, radio etc..

Easy enough to switch the pulley and if you are going to this far you might as well make up the brackets (or have a fabricator) make them up for you. I am sure if somebody looks hard enough they will find a vendor to help them out!

The car has a 57 amp alternator on it now and is ok. The engine is dry sumped and the alt. is in the rear running off of the torque shaft. Yes, it's that car.

I found 120 and 150 amp alts. after I got home from Road Atlanta. I need something like this to run the electric power steering we installed on the car. I also have a small self contained A/C unit that may also go into the car.
