Damn, that, MO30 sways and 968 mirrors are some of the last things I really crave for my car. Well there is the minor detail of installing the intake, radiator, turbo..........................

Picked up the last few little parts today.

Yeah your car is looking closer and closer to getting back on the road. Also, I appreciate your picking up the parts for my car. It looks like both of our cars will be out of Terrys garage soon. He wont admit it, but I am sure he will miss them.

I brought some 968 door panels... here is what I ended up doing with the speakers...

They are infinity reference speakers, and I used some fibreglass to mount the tweeters in the odd sized mid range compartment. It was amped with a Pioneer 404 and the sound was awesome... extremely good mid and high range and reasonable bass (no sub remember). The enclosure and cabin space just seems to give very soild sound. (I know that sounds fruity, my bad)

PS I had M030 sways and 968 mirrors and handles etc too, the sway bar helps a lot with stability, if not promotoing a little more oversteer which is fun

Andrew,

Any idea where your old car is now? IMO, it was one of one of the favorite 924/944/968 cars I've ever seen pictured.

Yeah I keep in touch with the guy from time to time. I know he has gone through a lot of ball joints haha putting it down to the 18's and maybe he didnt replace with geometry corrected ones...

Some pics... I do miss the hell out of it now

How much triming/additional material did it take you to put the 968 cover piece in? I've got one hanging in my garage waiting for me to retro fit it to the 951. I've thought about extending the sides all the way to the fenders via fiberglass to complete the look.

BTW, makes me feel 10 times better about powdercoating my intake black.

Almost nothing, only a little around where the catch can is and from memory a little around the brake reservior. A file eats through it easily. I really cleans up the look of the bay, covering some ballast resistors in my case!

Is that a stock plastic piece that is covering all the lines up against the firewall? That cleans up the engine bay soooo much.

You can get the 968 cover from a wrecker cheap as they usually dont fail And most 944 guys are not sure if it fits with a little work, so not that common a mod really.

I got the mirrors from a group buy I organsied through Sunset Porsche.

What did you put in the original tweeter location - the one in the upper forward location?
