Mine, too. It sounded like a jet engine...very unique...I kinda liked it. Of course, I just discovered that the compressor blades on my turbo are all chewed up, so that could be responsible for the noise.

i think the turbo is stuffed...there is visible play in the shaft. i suspect the shop did not prime the turbo properly

Chris, If the turbo is not primed properly, as per the instructions, it will not live long.
However, before you declare it damaged do some more testing. There will be some play, I emailed you some specs.
