Default Preferred Replacement hood liner?

Is there a particular brand the folks seem to like?

OE Porsche?
Reflective foil type ala ebay?
Closed foam like these guys?

Like something simple, asthetically appealing, reasonably priced...

Suggestions?

TIA

Jeff

928leathershop.com looks like the best choice. It won't fall apart like the OE Porsche one and is asthetically appealing to the eyes. If you choose it, please take pictures. I've had my eyes on it for a while now.

Why are you thinking of doing a hood liner ballistic? Your hood is already all shiney and clean, I think you'd want to leave it as is.

Don't need one. TX heat and no ill effects...but I am crazy like that.
But If I bought one, I would go with 928leather as well. He is on ebay also and a rennlist member.

My present car doesn't have one, and the underside of the hood is finished like the exterierior. My body guy says if there is any tendency for heat damage to the hood it will warp at the center support. His his view is go without, but if you do install one it should the center -- some hood liners are divided.

It was skipped on later versions, IIRC the hood liner is only there for sound insulation.

Sweanders, I dont have one on my 88' 951 and was going to put one on. Was it skipped on this year? I am wondering because I was thinking of getting one earlier but didnt know where to go. Is the leather one much more expensive? This is why I love rennlist.
