I don't feel the need to pat myself on the shoulder with what I am capable of or what I have done/experienced over the last several decades and the more you believe that I talk out of my a** the better I feel.

Group hug is not my thing.

You guys should stop arguing and just help aventari with his decision. I think you need to rememeber what this thread was about and not hijack it from him. Too late.

5 valves were used in F1 because it worked best with the bore/stroke combination at the time.

Any chance you can elaborate? Is that because of the oversquare cylinders?

Thanks,
Jon

Default Head Rebuild

Did someone here say AMW... John Anderson was the best? That is the best damn joke I have heard in a few years! Mr. 951 is certainly not John, he is a hack in my opinion.

Dwain Dement at Vision had to give John OEM hardware to keep Neil Wright's 944 spec car from head gasket failure a few times at Willow Springs in recent past. The awesome Home Depot head washers McGuyver used (Mr. 951) didnt work too well at the track. Im certain they dont work too well on the steet either. Im sure John knows what a cylinder head looks like, but to entrust him with your cylinder head for quality work *cough*.

Aventari, there are shops in San Diego that have "Porsche Certified" mechanics, John Anderson of AMW or Anderson Motorworks is not.

Close, Based on the diplacement rules in effect at the time there ends up being a optimum bore/stroke based on diplacement and target RPM. 5 valves were used because they best fit the bore and airflow targets at the time. Rules changed and 5 valves went away.
