Question Idle/oil pressure drops off shifts

When the car is fully warmed and/or been run a good bit, when normal shifting and just coasting (not in gear) or coming to a stop, pause between shifts, etc. the idle drops about 200-400 revs along with oil pressure. Then it comes back up.

After higher rev/boost shifts and then to a coast or stopping (i.e. not in gear) the revs/oil pressure will drop even more, almost to a point of stall, but then come back up.

Normal idle is set at about 900-1000 and oil pressure is about 3 bar.

is this ok? The revs dropping doesn't concern me, it is that the oil pressure drops along with the revs.

well oil pressure will drop when revs drop remember your oil pump is rev dependant. Though I would check the oil and probably change it cause its not hard and a good piece of mind.

Ok, then the issue is the revs dropping.

I understand there is some drop but I do not think to the point of dropping to about 400 rpm..???

I've found that the less the ISC Valve has to work, the better the car will be at catching itself from dropping RPM.

Have you adjusted your idle?

So this could be the ISV going bad?

Idle has been set for some time now. I havn't adjusted it anytime lately.
