Refer to this thread: https://rennlist.com/forums/944-turbo-and-turbo-s-forum/338099-well-if-it-isn-t-one-thing-its-another-clutch-not-fully-disengaging.html
I think that this setup *might* work, if your clutch fork is brand new/not worn at all (mine is slightly worn), and your thrust bearing is brand new, and everything is perfect.. However, I haven't found one person yet who can definitively say "Yes, I have this setup on my car and it works fine."
The Fidanza flywheel causes the throwout bearing to go back 1.5mm (I can only assume this is because its thicker than the stock flywheel), which severly limits your clutch fork travel if you have the thicker (1mm, to be exact) 930 disc.
With the Fidanza/930 disc/KEP pp installed, my clutch fork to bellhousing distance was only about 13mm -- spec for a new clutch is 18mm. I tried putting in the stock flywheel with the 930 disc and KEP pp, and the clutch fork to bellhousing distance was right at 18mm. I don't believe that you need the full 18mm of travel for the clutch to be released.. I really do think that I was right there.. just not quite.
Well, it came down to the decision of, use the stock flywheel, or get a thinner clutch disc. I'm ordering a stock disc from Paragon today.
P.S. Kudos to Jason @ Paragon for being extremely helpful with all of this, you always see people here saying that Paragon has excellent customer service.. well here's one more.

So I guess if one really wanted to run the 930 disc/KEP stg. 1 with a lightweight flywheel the safest way to do it would be to have the stock flywheel lightened?
Anybody know who can do this kind of work and how much it cost? What are the typical weight savings between stock & lightened stock?
BTW evai love that pic of your car got any others (high res) you wouldn't mind sharing?

Some shops charge $50 just to resurface the flywheel.. typical shop rate is $75-$100 /hr, so I can see that lightening the flywheel might cost $100-$150.
My fidanza was $300 shipped from ultrarev.com
As far as I can tell, there are two advantages to using a 930 disc: Cost and wear life. The cost difference is about $90, and as far as the 930 disc lasting longer.. People claim this just because its thicker. Who knows how much longer it actually lasts though.
A stock flywheel weighs 14.75 lbs, the Fidanza is ~6 lbs (maybe a bit less, I haven't weighed it). My bet is that a lightened OE flywheel would be somewhere in between.. maybe ~10 lbs.. I don't know for sure though.

I suspect that with the stock disk it will be fine.. Paragon is shipping me one second day air.. should be here Friday, and I'll know for sure this weekend.

And by the way, I did notice that the clearance between the back of the pressure plate and the bellhousing is *much* closer when using the fidanza than with the stock flywheel.. it works, but its very very close.

I was second guessing myself of what I actually put in there.
