Default Bouncy tachometer ?

Anyone ever seen a bouncy tachometer, it works but seems to bounce when shifting ? I have never seen this before ? Do I have a defective tachometer or do have an electrical problem that I am not aware of ? Thanks in advance...

Check all your grounds. Mine was a bit bouncy and a few of my grounds, including the one at the back of the block had pretty dirty connections, which can be one cause. There is always the possibility of poor (cold) solder joints on the gauge cluster. Other than that I can't think of anything else off the top of my head.
