Default 4 Wheel alignment guide

I just did a 4 wheel alignment on my track car so I thought I would put together a guide for this procedure since I didnt see one after a (quick) on-line search.

Here is the link http://www.oz951.com/public/alignment.htm

Its been a day or so since I did the alignment so please feel free to highlight any errors or omissions that crept in between doing the job and writing it up.

Nice write-up very cool….How do you set he camber on the front with the wheel off. Doesn’t it get messed up because the strut is extended, or do you compress the strut?

Thanks

Brian

For the Koni's I had on the car it was a case of setting the camber eccentric to maximum and fine tuning the camber with the camber plates.

You guys should check out his writeup on the AVCR - that'll save you about 5 hours.

Nice writeup. I recently had my 951 done at the local Bob Jane T-Mart. They quoted me $60, instead of the normal $66. The best part was that it took them 4 hours to do it

Did they align the rear ? Did they have a 944 rear toe adjusting tool ? If they took 4 hours I am guessing they were trying to figure out how to do it At least you didnt have to pay for 4 hours effort.
