Default Moving air intake....

I am thinking of moving the air intake to the front fender.
I think I've seen where others have done this.
What required? Where do I ge the parts?
Those that have done this, have you had any problems with
this setup?
Thanks for any and all input!

Tim, are you going to extend your MAF piping to place the filter in the fender?

There was somone a few months back who got some silicone hose and IIRC, used a Honday cold air intake to turn it down, after enlarging the hole to pass it through.

Hey Bret
Yes, the idea was to extend the MAF pipe through the
fender, then turn with a 90 and locate the filter in the fender.
Would it require cutting the hole in the fender bigger?

I know I have seen it done, just don't remember the specifics.

I've seen other writeups also, sounds like a good search project.

Sharky, and a bleeder screw type fitting for the coolant neck, that we can put a hose on to keep the fluid off our nice clean engines and off the floor since parts were brought up!

Kevin, that was the pic!

One of thing's I like about it is that it creates a little more restriction so when your BOV opens it may actually feed the turbo instead blowing out the end of a foot long 3" tube. A cooler charge is nice too!

I would add an Outerwears with setup.

Thats the pic I remember!
Was there a follow up to the install, how well did the setup work etc ?

Ok, I'll do a search.

In a cheesy attempt at cooling my intake air, I run w/o the rubber gasket that seals the headlight bucket to the header panel.

This would get colder air, and probably be easier to find parts for, if it were made from PVC. Just ugly.

I thought about that mod also. But the thought of never being able to drive my car in rain/wet conditions totaly turned me off.

this may not be a problem for you though.
