Ok, I'll do a search.
Have you thought about the MAF Trap and ducted headlight cover that Lindsey has. The MAF Trap separates the air intake from the hot air in the engine bay and the ducted cover provides cool air from outside.

There are two reasons why I want to do this.
1. Cold air
2. The MAF never fit well. It rubs on the underside of the hood. My 89 has a diagonal brace under where the MAF sits.
The brace keeps the MAF from sitting low enough to clear
the hood.
I figured that if I relocated the air filter I could then move the MAF a couple of inches so that it would sit lower in the engine bay.

Yes, I've had problems with one of the coolant pipes. We've abandoned the J pipe replacement supplied with the MAF and I'm having something fabricated (fairly simple). I expect to get more cold air without the other potential issues some people have had with fender placement.

My vitesse MAF rubbed on my hood for a little until I adjusted it a little and it no longer hit the hood you have to have it just right.

I think I've seen where others have done this.
What required? Where do I ge the parts?
Those that have done this, have you had any problems with
this setup?
Thanks for any and all input!
I am going to route the maf into the fender, replace the kn-filter with a BMC Filter
Then I could use the brake cooling duct to feed air to a cloesed filter setup..

I am using 968/993 style brake cooling ducts for the brakes
