Default Disabling Brake Pad Sensor?

I recently have added a set of Big Red 993 TT Brakes and rotors on the front of my 951. The brake sensors do not fit in the 993TT setup, so they were removed. Now the brake pad warning light on the dash board displays. I am getting ready to get the car inspected and am concerned that the brake light on the dash may become an issue when the car is inspected.

I could simply put the sensors back in the socket and just tie them to the shock assembly, but I do not want to take the wheels off again. Is there an easier way to disable the brake pad warning light?

I just put sensors back in socket and used a tie-wrap to hold wires in place.

I think you can just put a jumper between connections.

I don't know of any way to disable the light without taking the wheels of (other than pulling the dash cluster out).

I did a brake job on a 993 that the customer went to Pagid pads that didn't have cutouts for the wear sensors.

I believe you can order 993 RS brake pad wear sensor delete loops, which are basically the factory version of what I did:

The connections go through the Central Electric box and then into the instrument panel. I would think it would be easier to pull the warning bulb.

Thanks for the posts. Do you think the "Brake Pad" warning light will be an inspection issue?

Find the connection where the new sensors plug in and stick something metallic in the two holes. Then just wrap some electrical tape around it to hold it in.

There shouldn't be a problem with it passing inspection with the light on though. They just check to make sure it stops not what dash lights are on.

I clipped the sensors off, soldered the wires together and wrapped with electrical tape. The light will come on for low fluid level too so if you are deleting the pad sensors it is good to jumper them.

Yup, just cut the sensors off and tie the ends of the wires together (or jumper between the connections on the connector). The sensor itself makes the connection, and when wears down far enough (as the brake pads wear down far enough) will 'break' the connection between the wire, which lights up the dummy light on the dash. If you ONLY want to disable the brake pad warning, and leave everything else in place/working, tying the ends of the wires is the way to go IMHO.
