What is the point of replacing the heater control valve? Er, are you deleting it or just replacing it with a newer unit?

I had the same problem with my intake gaskets. I think they just get baked on there after 10 years or whatever. I had to scrape what I could off with a big bowie knife, an dI used a dremel and a small wire wheel for the rest of it. It was a real pain and took days.

I feel for you.

If you are going to replace all the hoses (or as many as you can), then hear this. Be extremly carefull when replacing the cycling valve hoses, one of the plastic nipples will break (or more) if you are not careful.

It is no big deal if a nipple breaks off, you can always run a manual boost controler (or electronic) instead of the cv.

Its made of plastic and gets brittle with time. If it starts to leak it can ruin a clutch and it is VERY hard to replace without taking the intake off again. Just good PM.

Mine broke while I was in bellevue one day...

It's a TRUE *PITA*

I ordered one from pelican, but in the mean time I put in a 5/8" male to male coupler, so I could drive around. It started leaking, so I had to replace it again in seattle. Then once I got the part, it took me 1-2 hours to get it in because of the awkwardness of the situation

Just replace it now, it's cheap, and easy. Everything you've always wanted in her

That is a nice find! Is the back body part metal? It looks like plastic.
