Testing for vacuum leaks
I know there are a couple of threads regarding the vacuum system, but I'm looking for some direction on finding leaks in the system. Anybody have a good way of doing this? Can you just pull a vacuum line from anywhere in the system and pump air into it?

Use a can of bradex easy start or WD40, spray sparingly around pipes and joints and if the revs increase you have found a leak. That the easy way. You can also tat each componant and pipe with a vacuum tester

I am currently going through all of my vacuum leaks on my 951. Using the following tools,
From Arnnworx,
http://www.arnnworx.com/bptester.htm
Got a Vacuum / Brake Bleeder tool from Auto Zone.
With the vacuum tester, tested the FPR, Fuel Dampener, and the BOV to make sure they hold Vacuum. With the boost tester from arnnworx, fitted it in the boost tube coming off the turbo in to the intercooler, and used my bike tire pump to pressurize the system. Then, using soapy water in a spray bottle, was able to track down several leaks where bubbles will form.
Since you are local, and the tests can be done fairly quickly, you can use mine, if you want to swing by. Though, I would recommend that you buy your own as they will come in handy!
