also when reporting a street aka Street Racing encounter let's not call Street Racing racing but let's use the term " Roll test" it works like a charm

My stock car beat an '07 STI...
Erm, shims, chip, and MBC
On the straightaway on the track that is...
We didn't race on the corners because, erm...
Well it was a roll test. Really.

I have a little test run I test both of my cars at. (From stop to a marker.) No wheels spin more like a roll start. (Please note that this isn't a "kill" or street racing! I don't want to get banned.)
951 @ end of marker: 101-102 mph. (Authority II chips w/ banjo.)
STI @ end of marker: 97-98 mph. (Cobb Stage 1 Accessport.)
The surprising thing is that the STi feels quicker overall. STi is quicker to ~ 70. 951 is faster after that point. By the end of the marker, the STi is in 5th and the 951 is still in 3rd. You loose a lot of shift time with the close ratio box in the STi.
Conclusion:
Basically the cars are about = at that point because of the shifting, but the STi feels quicker. As the speed increases, the 951 pulls harder.
The STis require a shift into 3rd right before 60 and a shift into 5th right before 100. They run the quarter @ around 102 stock. They would post even better magazine #'s if Subaru had adjusted their gear ratios a bit.

I think the new policy is way outta line but, its not my forum.
I guess we should browse all other sections of the board and report every post about anything resembling a street race or a spirited drive.
things have just gotten outta control.
