Default Silver Rose 951 on ebay

Not real sure if its even worth mentioning, but it IS a real Turbo S if somene is interested. I read it and it has some cosmetic issues, but isnt "horrible." Kinda sad to see it got to its current condition tho...Maybe someone can save it?

I dunno, Bone...not totally trashed. Essentially complete with some good stuff coming along in boxes. Needs some TLC but not a basket case. If snagged at $8K +/- by someone who does most of his/her own work, the value might be there to make it right. Might be ideal for someone looking to with light mods...competition seats, AC delete, cat bypass.

Sure used a lot of armour all on that car. It's too bad that interior fabric is so hard to come by. I'd like to have one eventually.

The 88 S fabric is a lot like good Scotch. Some people love it. Some people could take it or leave it. Some people get sick at the mere sight of it.

Could be a great deterent to drinking and driving, actually, as it dances on the old eye ***** anyway, can't image getting a little warmed over then sitting down in the middle of that and trying to drive home. The proverbial dancing elephant would be wearing kilts

I know it's not trashed, but it's sad to see how some cars end up. I know I don't really know the history of it, and it could've been pampered and had an unfortunate accident in a parking lot. I'm somewhat partial to the Silver Rose cars () so I want the rennlisters of the world to know about it in case anyone is in the market. Gotta start that Silver Rose rennlist group! (jk...)

I just think it's strange that Porsche would use that fabric in the S model. Maybe they were just joking.

To each his own. I've considered reverting back to the plaid in my car, but each time I decide to start hunting down the pieces...I stop. It's definately "80's"...hardcore "80's"

So this could work out real good. I have a deal for you. If a day comes when I aquire one of these with that plaid interior that is perfection..... YOU CAN HAVE IT!!!!

will just have to swap me for black or that saddle (beige) color.

I passed on an otherwise good car just because of that interior.... love the silver rose color though... make it a real love hate kinda deal for me

There was another Silver Rose listed recently -- seller said the exterior needs repainting or something. I remember it went for ~$8k

As for the interior, it is an acquired taste -- like some fine scotch. Mine's in perfect condition and I'm keeping it!

Just hang some fuzzy dice on the rear view and play some Adam Ant, Asia, and some good ol Air Supply at very high levels. This will make that interior feel right.

I'm actually taking an on line drivers ed class right now, and am bored between sections. That interior does make me a tad dizzy though.

Do you have any pictures of your interior? Is it like the car on auction with leather bolsters and plaid centers or are the seats all plaid? I wonder if any cars really came from the factory with leather bolsters...

Default from the ebay ad

I have had this car for seven years and purchased it from the original owner. The Car was only used during the spring summer and fall months and taken off the road for the winters. It was also not used for acouple of years.. I was a Porsche technician for 11 years and performed all the work done on this car myself.
You would think a Porsche tech would have it in near perfect condition.
