Unfortunately my schedule out here prevents me from making a call back home. When I'm free, it's usually the early early morning in Cali. I'm trying to just do as much internet research as I can and ask people who are more knowledgable than I am.

there should be another triangular flange where you put the question. It will make everything air tight. But everything else in the diagram is right

I might take you up on those extra flanges. I don't know if I can take the flange off my current crossover pipe. I believe then end of the pipe is flared...I'm no where near my car to find out tho...Haha, that paint diagram took me like...5 mins! If there is another triangular flange on the crossover itself, how will it make it airtight if it doesn't have anything to push against? The pipe is perfectly straight...

when you tighten the two flanges together it will squish and hold around the straight pipe. My 86 has a 2 pcs crossover and the crossover section is flared and the wg pipe is straight and it holds fine for me

Awesome! So basically it's your setup, just reversed. So all I really need is another flange and a new lead seal ring, right? Some others told me something about a clamp tho...anyone know anything?

The only clamp should be connecting the 2 big pieces of Xover pipe (V-Band Clamp on mine)

Darwin,

you need the flange and donut gasket in order for everyhting to work together. If I would have known i could have sent the other flange that you need.It basically slips over the new crossover pipe.then the donut goes on and then the new 90 degree pipe goes on and you use three 6 x 1.0mm nuts and bolts tohold the assembly together.
