Aro you fire spitters running "dump to atmosphere" type blow off valves, or recirculating type bypass valves? I know if I run a blow-off valve in the subaru, it will spit flames, but this is pretty darn hard on the turbo itself, and exhaust parts, and bumpers. . .
Also, are you flat shifting? because as you lift the computer should start pulling fuel along with timing, and boost should be diverted via bypass valve.

I'm still running with the stock set-up as far as bypass valve's and wastegates go. But before I reassemble the upper half I'll have a lindsey dual port wastegate... Yeah flames tend to leave crud on the bumper so she get's washed often

I shift like my with the normal see-saw tradition... pull of the gas, as you apply the clutch disengagement... I run 19psi on a K26/6, and often pop a flame. My DV still recirculates to the intake... doesn't idle without that feature.
