Default KLR diagnostic line ?

According to the factory manual, pin #1 of the KLR connector is used for "diagnostic". At late 951s, this pin #1 was also lined to the diagnostic plug for the bosch hammer.

I opened a lot of KLRs, but in all units the corresponding section on the PCB is not implemented. Pin #1 is just open. Not connected.

Is this something special for the US market? Or was it never used? But why did they connect then this pin to the diagnostic connector?

Any information about this?

Sounds like this is the output lead to the diagnostic port in the engine bay. I have the Porsche diagnostic codes back at my apartment. I could check which codes are KLR-related if you'd like. I think that's what it has to be over here in the US.

Unless there is a 'secret' trace runner lament inside the circuit board, mine goes to nothing.
