Well as far as timelines go, Chris White is building my 3 liter monster with all the bells and whistles in only a few months. He is the man - no question at all.

And by bells and whistles I mean getting the IC, Oil coolers, headers etc from vendors that take some time...Chris can make anything and make it well in very short time.

Thanks man, just remember its only going to be that cool BECAUSE of people like Chris White and the Martin Brothers. Its all about individuals who know their stuff - when you find those kinds of people nothing is impossible. Like my individual throttle body setup. I told Chris I wanted one (which he has to build from scratch) and he said, "sure, I think it would be neat" and never said it would lengthen the timeline etc.

He is a HUGE asset to this board and our community no doubt!

P.S. You have dibbs on the first ride in the ATL, the GT3 seat is callin' for ya!

Guns - I just hope I don't wet my pants in your new gt3 seats when you hit the throttle....

Jeff - Im not really going with anything yet just throwing ideas out there - just to be clear

The reason im thinking about LR is partly budget and the fuel controllers they offer seem easy to play with. Im still considering VR though.

You just got V2 for yours right?

Dude don't waste the money spent on the motor if you're not going to use Vitesse hard/software...seriously. I'll personally go out on a branch and say he has the very best application for our cars and the drivability and quality are the best bar none. John's turbo is going in my car and I wouldn't want to have it any other way. It will never see its potential without his stuff.

Don't worry about the pissin' yourself, I have to be gentle or i'll just spin them in 1,2,3 or so. But I'm serious - the crowd will be huge and there will be chicks around so tell yours to stay close and not to get jealous

Do you want to DE this car? If so, I would wait to put the big whirrly on there 'till you get lots of seat time. Then put the whirrly on there.

Road Atlanta is like a few miles from your house. I would use some of that money to run road atlanta with the peach tree region until my face exploded......twice.

Ryan, Im curious to know. What is your driving level or skills? Any formal training? How do you intend to use the car overall? Daily driver, weekend car, DE sometimes, etc? It's nice to know these things.

And Gator_86_951, Road Atlanta? I am sure you have driven on there right? I raced on there many, many times. That's no beginner track by any means. I've seen many people get very scared when they see the backside uphill, and then shoot straight down for the main straight. It's not easy, so don't egg the poor kid on like he's going to fully enjoy it and drive it like Michael Andretti. J/K

Yes both you guys have great points...its better to lean in a "momentum car" than a horsepower car...that being said you can always just turn down the boost and run it at low power levels right?

Yeah, well that is the best track close in. Roebling road is an effing joke. So he won't be flat out down the hill the first lap, maybe the second lap. Actually, on a serious note, I was at the '91 runoffs there and saw one gentleman die on the hill in a formula ford and another gentleman was fatally injured when some old school formula 1 cars were pitting out.

But, my main point is that unless you are just building this crazy street car for whatever reason, invest in some seat time before you get the big turbo. I don't drive crazy on the street and I don't see the point to having a fast street car really. Just me I guess. Although I do drive like 5 miles per hour over the speed limit by a certain 944 vendor's house locally.

The elevation changes at mid-ohio are a little easier to figure out. Lots of trees. AIM FOR THE V in the TREES.

I have 0 racing experience. None. Nada.

Im not building this car for a race car, Im building it because I want to build it. It wont see the track anytime soon. I dont have crazy power goals but I see it as a learning experience and a great way to learn about tuning first hand.

Working on cars (porsches) is what Im planning on doing with my life!
