Assuming good to excellent condition, is there a way to determine when a set of used oem, BBS, Fiske, or other high quality wheel is reasonably priced?
Are there any aftermarket wheel brands to avoid?
Are there any wheel sellers of refurbished wheels that you could recommend from experience?
What would be the easiest way to check for true round wheels. Bring a straight edge or roll?

Any other advice for those shopping for quality and value in the used wheel marketplace?

ebay is a good place to start for "valuation purposes" -- just look at the completed auctions.

I wouldn't race with much other than Porsche, Fiske or Kenisis wheels...

I've seen several aftermarket wheels fail at the track.
