the difference is the color. everybody wants black. nobody wants purple. etc.

just curious, why would anybody want a 1bar spring when the .7bar seems to be the better (safer with a wider range) option ?

So I must have missed it, but is there a GB on the adapters as well? My stock wastegate has pretty much let go, and if the price is right I would like to buy it's replacement while the car is sitting for the winter.....

Everybody talks about getting in on the WG + adapters, but I never saw anybody mention that there actually was a GB on adapters, or what the pricing would be.

Also, would whoever is running the GB's consider shipping to the far north (i.e. Canada)??

Not exactly a group buy but at least a discount.

I've given this more thougth and given the complexity of what's gone on in this thread with people asking questions or suggesting there are better deals out there, I just don't have the time to deal with this right now. If someone else wants to organize a group buy I would be more than happy to put them in touch with my friend to place the order and nail down prices, but I have a feeling this will be a bit too much for me to bite off at this point with as many other things as I have going on.

I apologize to those who have expressed interest, despite having the best of intentions perhaps I overextended myself a bit at the moment.

So, if I understand correctly, if we get 20 people it is $200 for the WG, $90 for the adapters + shipping on each?

That isn't a bad deal.
Would this all fit fine on a 87 turbo with the 2 piece crossover? (i.e. are there different adapters for the 1 and 2 piece crossovers?)
I have trouble getting the factory wastegate to fit in there sometimes which is why I am asking.

It would be nice to get pics of all of the pieces in here together, and a list of what else would be needed to install this.

Zero, yes, my understanding is that I should be able to get the .38 wastegates with the spring for $200 plus shipping on each unit. I looked through the thread today and only saw 5-6 people who seemed to be interested which is part of the reason I decided to drop this for now. We would have to have people order the adapters from Speedforce directly rather than through me, but I could collect the money and order the wastegates and then facilitate shipping to each member if there are enough people to make it work.

Same here. I'm actually wondering if I should get a 1.2-bar spring setup. Comes to about 17.4 psi. With that plus my EBC I should be able to pin that pressure right where I want it across the entire RPM band.

I'm still really partial to the 46mm wastegates since the construction looks SO much better, but I guess I can start with a 38mm and see if it does what I want it to.

Jeff, I don't have a problem with trying to get other products besides the .38 if there are enough people for the order, but I would assume the .46mm WG may run a bit more with the 1.2-bar spring.

Thanks, if you have the time and can get a price, just let me know. No hurry or anything - I probably won't be ready to start these upgrades for at least another month or so. . .

Jeff,
I sent my friend an email to inquire about the F38, F41, and F46 wastegates with springs ranging from .70-1.0 bar and for the F46 1.0-1.2 bar springs. Once I hear back from him I will let you know.

Okay, I received an email reply from him a little bit ago. Here's what the pricing would look like:

38mm wastegate with .70 bar spring will be $210 plus shipping.
38mm wastegate with 1.00 bar spring will be $222 plus shipping (1.0 bar spring is an additional $12)
46mm wastegate would be around $470 plus shipping. I think that would include the 1.20 bar spring you inquired about Jeff.

Hope this helps guys.
