The turbo in the 1st pic likes similar to the one on my 951. Why did you replace it? I remember a post way back when about it but do not know the details. I suspect my turbo is a SFR stage (?) and I can feel some shaft play but the turbo looks pretty new.. but I've heard of problems with SFR turbos..

btw: your car looks great. I love the engine bay

Thanx!

If you look very closely at the first pic you'll see the fins are bent

Thanx Mike

Ryan - I have no clue. After breaking in my engine w/o boosting (very hard! ) I took it out to dial in the turbo. First time I spooled it up it smoked like a damn chimney. I have no idea what happened.

Thanx guys! The engine bay is red and gold; along with the black car it's the color of the german flag and the Porsche crest on the hood. It also doesn't hurt that the anodized red is closer to garnet and that my alma mater is Garnet & Gold!

I confess I decided against getting MY cam tower done in orange and blue to counter you michelle. I just didn't want all that bling in my engine. But, they always say, it is the THOUGHT that counts.
