Don't know yet. I am focusing on street tires for now too, that's it. But I will look into slicks. Looking at the Michelin Pilot Cup Sport or Sport PS2s. Still doing research though...

Yeah i've been stressing over compounds and street tires as well. I'm worried about my upcoming trip thus i'm sticking with the Pirellis instead of going over to the PS2s (only other tire in a 335/35/17). I'm giving up some grip for the reliability aspect of it.

Any photo's of that said steel winged demon? That's what I'd like to do. Just get some super shop to do the whole guard so that it was just a little wider, enough to bump the tyres up to say 295 f and 335 r. but not look kit car like. Now that would be cool. Oh and I'm not making a negative implication about your car guns. More power to you and it looks a great project.

Crap, I just saw the news about Kinesis. That sucks. I love mine and they get plenty of attention.

Thanks Guns. Now that's what I'm talking about! At first glance you don't see how wide they are too. Is that really running 335's at the rear? WoW. It would cost a small fortune to do though?

I just went to the thread that Guns gave and read the news too. You have got to be totally kidding me, right? This Lexani company bought Kinesis rims and owns them now? I didn't see anything on the site for sale, except their ghetto stuff. Please tell me this can't be true? My God why? And what size rear tires did you fit on those rims too?

Right now I have 275/40 Bridgestone RE750s on the 17x11.5 rears. I'm afraid 315/35s would look balloonish and maybe not fit the fender space so well. I have some space, but probably not that much.

I've been trying to get a 315/35 carcass for a trial fit just to see. So far no joy in locating one.

Thanks for the info mate. And good luck. I've never heard of street tires that wide fitting on "stock" fenders, not even using a baseball bat?! But hey, there's always a first time right!

I've searched both threads and can't see (unless I'm being blind) the offsets I would need to run CCW's (or similar) with maximum depth of dish showing at the front (i.e. no spacers) on an 86 turbo?

Could anyone tell me the offsets possible without spacers for front and rear? Plus any other crucial measurements I would need to tell someone before they built me a custom set of wheels for my car?!

Hopefully I can get deeper looking wheels on my 86 than is possible on the post 86 cars?? I like the opposite look to most people i.e. deep looking wheels with wider tires that are near maximum possible for the rims.

Ben, if you are going to have custom rims made by CCW, why don't you contact them directly and ask them which rims styles will fit your car? Then from there, I am sure they have a fitment sheet, in which you would have to supply them with all the measurements from "your" exact car? That is the right way to do it in my opinion.

Here is a ---> Fikse Fitment Sheet. I will bet you anything that CCW will be asking the same questions or looking for the same exact data. Use the sheet if like and get your measurements ready, so if you call CCW you know what they may ask. I hope this helps.

You guys really dont need that much tire. Afterall the 928, which happens to be the best car ever, can fit that stock. I wish I had a 928. Randy is always telling me how awesome they are, and I've got 4 less cylinders than him That's why I bought an LS1.

I love the PS2, I run 'em on my TT 350z now and won't consider much else, at any cost.
