I'm not so sure that I'd want to replace these at the rate of 2 @year @$200 a pop. They don't sound very durable. Is it hitting curbs while parking that breaks them or something else?

Yep...and most of those who replace them @ 2 a year are running cars that have been lowered. If you live in a hilly part of the country it's a bigger problem due to drivway inclines. Have you ever looked at the bottom of the stcok batwing. Often those get scratched as well. It's simply a choice. If you have one then you take it upon yourself to pay attention to what the hell you are doing and at what angle relative to the nose, that you are doing it.
PS I guarrantee you spend more than 200 bucks in restarants in less than two months.

At least you don't have to worry about painting chicken wings...

A well prepared chicken wing requires intensive wing sauce painting!

I'll be installing mine later tonight, but there is a huge chance it's your car rather than the part. In four years I've never heard a complaint about the part.
No, I did not install the splitter with the front bumper off. Seems almost certain that is the reason the fitment is not perfect. Perhaps after this one snaps or the 1/2'' gap gets on my nerves will I remove the bumper and reinstall.

ehall - please post pictures of how yours turn out!

You can't post this without including pictures. Its in the rules (that everyone knows but doesn't bother to right down).

this is one of the easiest searches on rennlist. Just do that and you'll have more pics than you'll ever want.

Theyre not that expensive to buy new, and if you buy one used, itll probobly already be painted and have damage.

I just spent $40 on glass cloth and resin to patch my splitter. Mine is just worn thru on the front bottom edge, no other cracks or damage. I think I got enough patching stuff to fix it a couple of three times over.
