Default Anyone tried longer ball joint pins on Charlie Arms?

I am getting ready to pull my Charlie Arms off os the '87 and put them on the Technodyne car and figured it would be a good time to check/preplace the ball joint pins. That said, I wanted to see if anyone has tried longer ball joint pins with spacers on Charlie Arms. I'm concerned that the larger moment arm of the longer pin would stress the thinner knuckle (machined to accept the standard 19mm CA pin) to the point of failure. I like the idea of being able to correct the roll center issues with a lowered car but am always catious about making changes on such a critical part.

Thanks,

We used them for years on our race car, with no problems. that was with 315 fronts and alot of downforce.

Was that with the stock spindles with the ball joint knuckles machined to 19mm, or with custom, purpose built spindles?

Also, how much longer were the pins used?
