The Ferrari 355 has a nice F1 buzz although I'm not a fan of these high frequency noises, I'd rather stick to a low rumble 993 or large American V8 style.

Here's a TVR Tuscan, surely not as sophisticated as a highly M tuned BMW 6, but it sounds beautifully mechanical and full of character.

I guess we enjoy interior (intake )noise much better, many newer cars are quiet outside but manic inside (CSL, NSX for example).
