New owner question
New to the site and I have been reading a good bit. Most questions have been answered using the search function and thank you to those who have posted information.
Issue I am dealing with is I bought an 88 turbo (non S) and for track days I am going to install a limited slip. I am down to two options. Should I install a gt unit in the current transmission which appears to be about $2000 after installation or do I buy a rebuilt transmission (current trans feels smooth but shifts rough when cold and may need work) from vertex with a factory limited slip installed for about $2700. In other words how durable is the stock limited slip given its clutch arrangement?

Don't use the factory 40% for track work. It won't last and you'll have to go to the extra expense of redoing the exercise again. I'm going an 80% for my road and track car.
