Personally, I like the fuel computer setup, because I am a computer/electrical engineer. Neat stuff.
I also like the retention of the power steering. These cars have great power steering feel, they really do.

Rolex: Your welcome. I'm a bit of a picture collector. I think I got those from the E-bay auction. I noticed the dual fuel pumps as well. Looks like they were using JRZ struts up front too. Nice to see some of the details. Another car I thought was cool - although not a 951 and a bit off topic for this thread - was this car. Let me know if you want to see more.

Wow, really nice pics.. check out the watercooling system.. radiator in the back and piplines going through the car to the backend! Does any of you know more about engine internal detailes?

All I know is what was posted in the for sale advertisement that Rolex linked too (Carrillo rods, knife edged crank, etc.)
I just noticed that they are using a Motec Ignition Expander as well. I just bought one of these for my 3 rotor 914 project car. They are used to double the amount of spark per coil. However in this case it looks like they have 4 ignitors for 4 plugs. Anyone know why they used the expander? The M4 by itself should be sufficient to spark a 4 cylinder engine with one coil. Wondering if they were double firing the plugs. (If that makes any sense).
Definately a remarkable car from a development point of view. Anyone know what kinds of lap times it put down at courses such as Willow Springs?

Solo: Just awesome pics! Trust me, I can appreciate the eye-candy pics of practically all cool looking track car or excotic cars. Although I won't deny it that I have a thing for Ferrairs!
I don't know the lap times at Willow Springs. I'm sure if we do some research we can find them. But Dwain was the man in that car.

Dwain at Vision Motorsports is a good guy. He help immensely with my 914 purchase even though he doesn't work on them. He even stored the car a month for me and didn't charge for it. A first class human in my books.
Here is another look at that 911:

I wish. To be honest I'm running out of space in the shop at the moment. Plus I just purchased a dynojet (I pick it up tomorrow) and the toy account is seriously depleted. Some day a 911 will grace my garage but not really soon I'm afraid........maybe when the new 997 GT3's are depreciated fully.

And just when I thought Mike was offering to show us some taste. You actually like this mocked up 911 kit car reject from some Japanese Transformer movie????
Sorry but that thing is butt ugly in my book no matter how good it's lap times may be.

I would change the rear wing design, and add some crazy ducting in the rear flares, but that's about all I'd really like to change.
I put this in the category with the 962 powered purple 911.
