Looking for 951 clean , with ABS option and Air bags, will be Sunday driver, but prefer to know that late 80s car have these options !
I guess I could upgrade the ABS in the car ? How hard would that be ?

Or do I buy a good S2 and cheap 951 fopr parts and just merge to the s2 ?

The vast majority of 951s made from 1987 to 1989 are going to have both airbags and ABS (a few 87s were optioned without abs, but those are few and far between). Its just the 1986s that came without airbags and ABS.

I will agree that ABS is definately a plus on a street driven weekend car, but I don't think I would trust 20 year old airbag at all...

ABS was still an option for model year 1988. My '88 951 does not have ABS.

According to Porsche 951 airbags should be changed every 13 years
