Asheboro isnt too far from me, I live in Winston-Salem and go to school in Charlotte. Once your car gets a little more completed id be interested in dropping by and checking it out and taking some shots of it.

If you are going to install turbo frame into the front end of your car. You have plenty of room to do nice equal lenght exhaust manifold with turbo mounted on the passanger side! And if you are going big why the hell not with 16 valve?

Great project man.. seriously!

Well this project is sort of just a "fun idea" for the cannonball run. Once this car is done, I'll probably strip a 951 tub and go absolutly crazy with it (once I move back to the US in the next 5 years or so). This will be my daily driver when I return stateside and as such the 8v motor is all that I need on the street. When I build up a track car with insane rev ability then I'll go 16 valve.
As far as the exhaust goes, i'll have the "bundle of snakes" looking headers from SFR, but for now I'm leaving the turbo in its stock location for ease of install & tune. The main thing with this project is getting it to run reliably with tons and tons of power for a memorable effort among F40s, the occasional Enzo and numerous Pcars and Fcars.
Later on I'll send it up to Chris White and have a few things tweeked here and there, but that's after I've gotten bored with the setup I'm doing now. The more changes I make from the original & proven design the more prone to problems she'll be. Even with all of the major changes being made, I'm hoping to not have any cooling/oiling/boost issues.
Thanks for the kind words...your project is insane! I LOVE that color and the theme!

I don't know but my intuition says no. Several enzos but no Veryrons that I've heard of. That one is more likely to be run in the Gumball as its a bit more prestigious at $ 80,000 entrance fee for a driver, co pilot and one car. This event is only $10,000.

Brian, dude by NO MEANS will this car even compare to what you and Rolex are doing. You guys have gems, perfect stock bodied cars that could roll up to the factory and you'd have a bunch of old germans gawking at your efforts and perfection at every corner. WHO HAS POLISHED TRAILING ARMS?!?!?!
This is going to be pretty yes, but nothing compared to the red rubys you guys will be enjoying. Even when she's done and ready for the Cannonball, she'll still have some left on her to-do-list.
Thanks for the kind words
