3 liter with Tec3 EMS, Vitesse Racing stage 5 turbo, SFR Stage II 321 4-1 headers & intake manifold. Arrow rods, darton sleeved block, possibly 2.7 head. Its going to be a beefy 3 liter, not a high rev motor (looking to keep it around 6,500 with occasional runs to 7k).

Exhaust is up in the air (will be minimal), upgraded clutch to handle power. Expecting to run 15 psi on pump and up to 20 or so with xylene mix. Just about everything in the engine bay is going to be redone. The IC setup is undecided as is the radiator setup but there will be a large oil cooler to help with track day temps.

Very nice list you have there pal! With your engine and all the mods you'll have, you can moreso benefit from the Lindsey Racing Graduated 4 Inch System. I had it on my old 3.0L 8V, and felt a difference in the butt dyno. Lindsey also did 2 other tests on this system to compare it too. Also, in case you didn't know this, the original Cup Cars "did" have a 4 Inch Exhaust System on them too. And they didn't make anything near the RWHP & TQ you will make with that beast! Here are their two write-ups for you, I'll let you draw your own conclusions.

Default Team Wahl

Reno: Team Wahl refers to me and the Mrs. (as she's the co pilot wearing a 70's era skin tight race suit ) we're having a "Le Mans" theme with the car for the event.

Rolex: I'm simplifying things way more! The exhaust is exiting out the passenger side through a fairly oval tube with an aluminum plate bonded to the body to prevent burning the paint etc. The pipe will come off the headers and make a bend to shoot out under the passenger. Aircraft engine metallic thermal blanket will be between the pipe and the underside of the floorboard.

Lart: This is the first sanctioned Cannonball run event since 1979...I'm starting in Atlanta and continuing to LA via Las Vegas. Here's a generic map of the starting locations with the circle around my start location. I'll be in LA on the 4th of August so if you want to meet up I'd be more than happy to do so. Maybe we can have a rennlist GTG or something .

Its all good! not going with the Heritage rad setup either. I'm going to have the guys cut off everything forward of the timing belt cover pretty much, and going to fab up some braces to hang the radiator off of and going to place a huge IC in front of that (bigger rad to make up for warmer air coming from IC which will protrude from either side of the IC quite a bit).

The front end is going to be just as light as the rear!

Did you ever take a look at the Koklen Flipper Car and it's set-up?

Yeah, but I'm going to be going down the road of the Electrodyne car with the forward slant mount IC & the radiator will be at a lesser slant vented through the hood to draw air out. My flow will be out of this world compared to that car as I have no limitations on parts.
