Ski, I'll be going through Robert B @ the 928 Leather Shop. I'm pretty sure I followed a link to his page from Rennlist, work is top notch as well.

Guns, you're living my lifelong dream, man. This 951 is gonna be re-damn-diculous!!!!
Why are you going back to the stock (look) 951 nose? I think the broadfoot nose went perfect with all the other agressive body mods. It's also pretty light, too... isn't it poly?

Guns – I was going to shoot you an email on this – but might as well share with the group!
I would suggest (strongly) that you look at GT racing part 295 for the front clip.
http://www.gt-racing.com/GTR944.pdf?...f4969411cdfc01
This allows for a functioning hood – this is a real plus for any car – race or street. Quick access is a good idea to check stuff (and show stuff off). With the shape of our cars the concept of a tiltable one piece front end is just about impossible – and if you make it removable the paint work will not last long.
The other problem is that bonding a stock type nose to a wide body will be very difficult since the lines won’t match well. If you look at most of the widebody 944 set ups that use the stock nose there is an awkward change in the body lines to try and get the nose to widen out to cover the front wheels.
I have played with several different set ups and even sold off the typical front wide body fenders because I didn’t like the look. I have the GT 295 part and I really like the look.

Very nice! Congrats on finding a shop that you so-far like.
So on your way back east after getting to the end of the cannonball run in LA are you going to do a US tour and stop by all us other rennlisters to give us rides?

Haha I wish I could do a tour! But alas I will be flying back to Afghanistan a few days after the run is over. I will be in Atlanta, Las Vegas & LA for at least a day each if you guys want to meet up.
Chris: The front end I chose was only 71" wide at the arches, which means the air dam area is close to stock. The shop is confident that they can make it nice and smooth. As for the paint not lasting long on a single piece front, we'll see what happens

The cat is out of the bag....
More parts ordered:
296 Front end (will delete the IC vents & graft 951 nose in place of 924 air dam
Boxed Flares, will be molded to body, gurney flap added to rear of fender. Fender wells are going to be sculpted to release air to the rear and out the back of the fender (gap will remain open and will vent air from over the rear tires).

Guns: I posted pictures of a 924 with a flip front end and body kit in the "Check out this vid" thread started by Special Tool. I forgot that I had those pictures. Maybe they will give you some ideas for your project. Sounds like a doozy.....

Thanks I'll check them out, this won't be a flip front though. Once the pins and latches are released it will come off the car completely for access to everything. It will be a two person job, but hey that's why I got married right? Eventually I'll probably go with a tube frame front end, but that will be awhile from now.
