Install was actually pretty easy. The hardest part was getting the upper portion of the intermediate shaft to line up properly to allow the pinch bolt through. 2 people would have made this a lot easier.

Yep, a helper is a must with that part of the job.
When I replaced my PS with the manual unit, I just did it because I liked the feel of the manual unit. I had driven several early 944's and 911's and grew to like the unassisted feel and feedback. My power unit wasn't leaking at all (might seem strange to rip out something that was working perfectly fine, but I'm just weird I guess. ).

i was just wondering if he had run into any hiccups along the way.
that and i'm gathering the guts to do this one myself... somehow it seems easier to start if someone has just done it before you
