Steering Wheel Installation..
Pathetic, most likely very easy fix.
I replaced my stock steering wheel this afternoon, and thought I attached everything correct...BUT, my horn and turn signal return don't function.
Where did I go wrong?
And YES, the wire is connected.

By the way the steering wheel I put on is a "Jet" wheel that the PO gave me along with the car. Actually pretty good quality - for free at least.

Have you check the fuse? the turn signal shouldn't be affected by a new steering wheel.

He said the return doesnt work, I think the light still works...
I know this is a common problem with putting on aftermarket wheels, but im not sure what the fix is.
I put on a momo wheel, and the horn stopped working. (as well as the passenger side turn signal) turns out that becuase i had an airbag wheel in the car before.. and the turn signal stalks were for a airbag wheel, when the momo wheel was put in the horn and turn signals didnt work correctly until a non airbag turn signal stalk was put in. I have no idea why, A local porsche shop figured it out though. Possibly worth looking into if no one on here has a better idea

I have a momo with hub on a 86" 951 and have no issues with horn or turn signals.

No, Mine is an 86 with no airbag...
I'll check the fuse this afternoon, and if that doesn't work I'll take it off and do some trial and error I guess.
Thanks for the comments!

Which momo hub are you using? Make sure it's the 7004. Also check your horn contact (L shaped copper contact on the multi-function switch assembly) as you may need to bend it upward slightly (like a tent) to contact the bottom of the momo hub.
As for the turn signal return, make sure your multi-function switch is moved slightly closer to the steering wheel (up the steering stem) so that the tab on the left side of the momo hub contacts the switch returns.
Good luck.
