Please help me with these questions that I have about the 3.0 Liter crankshafts commonly sourced for use with the 944 turbo 2.8 Liter conversions.
Note: This conversion is intended for use on a street car with some track use.
Does anyone have a ballpark range for what a used 968 or 944 3.0 Liter Crank would cost?
What would be an estimated cost to have the 3.0 Liter Crank prepared for use in a 944 block.
What is recommended in order to properly "prepare" the crank for a 2.8 Liter conversion project?
Thanks for your help guys.

A good 3L crank can be used as is in the 2.5L block for a 2.8L stroker engine. However, if the stock 951 rods are used, some machining to the block is needed for clearance.
A good 3L crank ranges from $1000-1500 (+/- $200)

I just paid $1200 for a lightened and balanced 3.0 crank from a resident Rennlister. He crated it up awesome and shipped quickly too. I'm going to send my old block out to Chris to get sleeved and start a 3.0 build for the white 951.
