Unfortunately my currently installed and otherwise good LSD transmission has some whining and low power gear rattle, so I would at some point like to upgrade my good spare transmission to an LSD version.

they have their logo but they build for others as well. these will be for sale for a while. there are a few of these available.
Raj, yes we also sell the 968 LSD, i know for sure they make clutch type LSD, i will find out about the torsen. unfortunatly they are a lot more expensive. i think from last time we had one it was $3400 aus.

Let me rephrase. What is the difference between the differentials being offered for sale in this thread and Quaife differentials. Are they modified Quaife's, knock offs, do they use the same bearings, are they made of the same materials, etc. Is there any warrenty offered?
Basically why should I buy the differential offered in this thread instead of a Quaife?

the manifacturer of these LSDs also export to some big american gear companies. they have been around almost as long as quaife. similar design, you cant differ to much from a torsen differential. the housings are chromoly steel, good luck breaking that. there is no warrenty offerered on any offroad or race products no matter who sells them. these retail for the same price as the quaife, exept we are selling a select few cheaper to get rid of them.

Yeah they paid. They literally forgot to screw it in.. it just fell right out when I was driving home after getting the AIR splitter put on.
So... I order a new fog light, and now one side looks clear and brand new, and the other side looks a little dull and faded. Cant win

"The Quaife ATB Differential comes with something else other's don't have:
a Limited Lifetime Warranty. This warranty applies even when raced ! "

Not saying they will or won't honor the warranty. There are some escape clauses in the wording (which is normal and to be expected). So it'd be nice to get some real world examples of how they handle warranty claims.
I simply haven't seen anyone on any boards saying either "quaife was great, they replaced the diff I busted at the club race" or "quaife was horrible, they didn't replace the diff I busted at a club race."
That said, it says a lot that Quaife is willing to put a warranty out there at all. I can think of no other manufacturers willing to warranty anything being raced.

I've seen quaiffe honor the warranty pretty much no questions asked. Its a great warranty, however if you don't screw up the install, it will be hard to break.
This is a good diff, as is the Quaiffe. I would buy one of these considering the price, and the chromoly case.
