I like the MPD concept. You already have a unique car. So instead of painting it up just like a Gulf. You should do something custom. Maybe some candy colors etc...

Here were some other reference shots I had taken of the newer Gulf Ford style.
You might see what a ford dealer has to say.

Maybe get some Vitesse etc sponsor graphics on there

Previous picts.

And this one from last year at Motorsport.

Mike:

So far, to me this is the hottest version for Gun's car. If you can, see if you can tweak something here or there? I don't know, chance the blue a hair deeper, maybe if you can make it a tad some metallic to it? Maybe add a white-circle number plate (black lettering too) on the side door and the hood where (with a fake number in it too?) Some food for thought...

Fredis:Great car! Thanks for the information

Test: Dear christ those candy colors pop! love it, but I def. like it with the rockers and "shark fin" painted orange. Its so beautiful!!! And that devil chick? OMG that is sooooo hot!

Mike: Holy $hit man you have outdone yourself! I didn't know you were a guru! Nice trick with the wheels man, yeah they look good in black - can't wait to put them on.

Thanks everyone so much! This is the biggest help ever - its exactly what i had in my head!

First of all Mike & Testa "I'm not worthy"

How about a meatball in the middle of the hood, just like the 917 & the GT? It'd break up that big 'ole orange line a bit.

Just thinking out loud, back to watching from the grandstands...

Default Excellent....

Mike:

Thanks for helping Guns out. I think the car looks insane with that color scheme, and where you placed the colors too. And with the addition of the Gulf and the number plate? Dude, you are without a doubt "Da Man!" You Rock!!

Thanks again guys, I dont' know about the meatball on the hood, but I am going to have drop down vents behind the intercooler and three small ones over the intake manifold.

Here's what she'll look like with no header panel (as the hood & header panel are going to be one piece. I have Mike @ IFC fabricating one for me right now.

Rolex: Dude without your ideas I still wouldn't know what this car would look like! Thanks for the prod and great posts man.

You're welcome. But you thought of the vintage color scheme. I just added a few ideas, but Mike is the dude who made it all happen. So he is the one who gets the credit for this finished product. Or is it finished? Should we play around with tweaking something here and there? It is up to you and Mike, or if Test wants to do it too? You have a lot of Adobe Pros working with you now!!

This car is going to look so bad-*** for this race it's crazy!

The only thing I need now is for the wing to be blue with the orange stripe and the base wing and hatch frame to be blue as it will be fiberglass and not be painted black.

Yes this will truly steal the show!

I am confused now. So you want to see what the back wing will look like if painted entirely blue, and have the orange stripe go thru the middle of it? Like a continuation from the hood to roof, and then the wing? I think that's what you mean? We need Mike to do another variation so we can see what you want.

Like zis!

996 GT3 Gulf colors

You're right, the hatch needs to be blue to match the body color. The overall effect will update the look of the car as well. see below for the wing treatment.

That is a nice garage. Guns. Now that you posted photos of how you want it to look, hopefully test or Mike can make those additions? Do you have any rear shots of the car and dead front on shot? If so, post them and let them do them too, no?
