Default Engineering marvels

I took a few pictures of the project car today, just to let everyone know what true engeneering marvels can be accomplished with these cars in the proper hands....

This, is a very sophisticated boost control mechanism...

It is obvious from this 'J-Boot delete' design that the AFM does not need a filter, and the BOV works better when connected to nothing...

As for suspension upgrades, the best way to attach a strut brace is to drill right into the top of the strut top and tap in as many screws as you can...

And finally, I have NO IDEA what this is, appears to be a light of some sort where the cig lighter used to be...

I just thought I would share these engineering feats with the rest of you...

Regards,
Russell

Maybe you can flip down the red light and hit a NAWZ button?

WTF is your AFM doing way over there?...
Wait, I don't want to know.
The diverter valve will work dumping to the atmosphere, and it will be louder that way, but you will run very rich when shifting and it can backfire badly.

BTW – the fun thing with the stock type blow off valve is that it is open any time there is enough vacuum – so you are sucking in unfiltered stuff in to the intake through that valve too!

I have no idea how long the car has been run in this configuration, I will not run it until it's put together properly, I have all the parts, but won't put anything on it until I get it to the frame shop to find out if it can be made straight. If not, I'll be selling it as a parts car.
