Thanks for the marketing tip. I happen to have an extensive Marketing background, and know that various case studies across different demographics has shown that well over 80% don't like flash intros. Trust me I know it well, Ive launched many marketing programs. Anyway, I thought I would try it here at least with the 951 people. But in the real business world, it has been empirically proven that it isn't prudent for corporations, more so, e-commerce/click and mortar types to have flash intros, especially long ones. But thank you for your advice and input.

I think instead of the F1 or Indy sound clip. You should put your 3.1L sound clip. To make more part of the site. Nice I Like.

Excellent. Find me a nice 3.0L or 3.1L sound clip. Id even settle for a 2.5L, 2.7L, or 2.8L one! They need to be short too.

I think you should go blog with your car web site dude. Then your build up would be presented like a journal. The blog can still link to your static technical/picture pages. As an added benefit those keeping up with your build could subscribe to the RSS feed for any new updates.

Just a suggestion.

Na, thanks but no thanks. I like my layout, which has a section with dates saying the status. Its updated the second we do things.

I think it's pritty kool, The only thing is can you incorparate any pics of the car in the flash page?

Great question Brian. I highly doubt it. The hosting company gives you templates, and you can only do so much. It would be nice to have the car do something and have a sound file of a 951 too? But the site has limitations. If it was a full blown html or java based site, the sky would be the limit. But it isn't like that, so I have certain parameters I have to work in. But thanks.

So far, I sense most people hate it? Ouch, I didnt think it was that bad or boring, or long. I thought the intro was pretty short. Anyway, I posted this to get feedback, so I am just testing this now.

it is back up, I changed service providers and I don't even run that site. Stuff I do is like www.zeffy.net although I've not updated that since I ended that class. I'd rather you do a whole flash site or menu.

If you were to replace the clouds and sky in the flash with a 944 going by - now that would be nice.

Other than that, it works for me. For the folks who don't like flash intros, you have a "skip intro" button - so it's all good, IMHO.

Thanks Z. I wish I could, but I cant change the clouds, the sky, the color of the sliding doors, the window frames, etc. Like nothing. Its all templates? Sorry, I wish I could too. But, if someone could get me a short 944T clip (not a dyno run) I could add that as an AVI file instead? Oh wait a minute, I have an idea, I am going to update it later on. I think it will be to long, but it will be more relevant and people will appreciate it more so. But, it will be longer, and I know they hate it. Check back later tonight.

Templates are meant to be hacked and changed!! I'm not a big fan of out of the box graphics. Either build in customization schemes, or I'll find a way to get around it, or not use the template.

But that's just me. I march to the beat of a different drummer.

Z-Man: Well, I hate templates too, but this is what I have for now. And hey, for a non techie, it's not bad if I do say so myself. Maybe if/when (ouch!) the car is ever done, I'll get a professional one made and is kick butt!!
