Well since I live in the wonderful midwest, I have winter and snow. Since I can't drive a P car I have to be working on one I guess. So besides working on the oil pressure issue in my blue 951 I also picked this car up. A little background... Car has 100ish k miles on it, LSD, repainted House of Kolor Pearl Black, TT wheels, cheap tint lol, and it needs a TON of TLC. Basically the car is in the same condition as it was when it came out of the paint booth. It was my buddies project that he decided to move on from and pass it to me. He had big plans for the motor but decided to move on and drop the project.

No motor. I picked up a good used motor from Kevin (por951turbo) from one of his parts cars. I must say that if you need anything for your car, talk to him. Great guy to deal with.

The plan is to finish the body work, reseal and partially rebuild the motor (already low miles so it doesn't need much work). I will probably sell this car when I am finished as I already have another car.

Does anyone know what can take primer off? There is some on the window trim I would like to remove. Thanks.

 

Don't know, but good luck that's one heck of an undertaking! Is she going to be a track car, street car?

 

Just watch out for that Gulf Shores sand. It'll get ya.

 

It's too nice to be a track car if you ask me. There is one minor dent in the rear that will be fixed. Interior is real nice.

Here are the pics from picking up the car...got stuck in the sand. Had to have been one of the dumbest moves on my part but we were over-tired from driving (IL to GA to AL then back to IL straight). Made a bad choice, I guess even in ppl's yards it is all sand. I was trying to turn around in an abandoned house's yard...didn't go over so well, ha.

Your car is blue. I have to assume that is not from the factory, or is it? I can't tell by the pics. If it is from the factory, it "appears" to be Baltic Blue, but I can't tell.

The primer. It is on the rubber trim or on metal? Any idea how old it is, or you have no clue? I may have a few ideas. Let me know and good luck with these projects cars, you got your hands full pal.

Was this the fellow rennlister's car that decided to sell it a few months ago? I can't recall his username but I remember him saying the car was painted house of kolor black pearl.

Also did you sell the pearl white 951 you had?
